My Approach

My approach is informed by Social Work, CAMHS practice, Systemic Family Practice, Trauma Informed Practice and Anti Oppressive Values.

I support teams to strengthen their curiosity and compassionate thinking about a child or young persons needs, considering not only their individual presentation but also the wider context;  trauma, relationships, family and professional networks, culture, power, care experience and patterns of response.

Professional Background

I am a registered Specialist Social Worker and Systemic Family Practitioner working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). My practice is grounded in systemic, relational and trauma informed approaches with a focused on understanding children and young people within the wider context of their relationships, care experiences, families, communities and professional network .

I have experience supporting professionals to reflect on child and adolescent mental health, trauma, risk, safeguarding, family dynamics,  relationships and the wider professional networks supporting children and young people.
